Hi,
I noticed that in a couple new cars I've test driven, their clutch mechanisms have been sticky. Cars like, dacia sandero, hyundai i10.
I don't mean there's an issue with the clutch mechanism 'biting', or changing the gear - I specifically mean when pressing in the clutch.
I heard that there are different types of clutch mechanisms, but not 100% sure.
So - my ford fiesta 02 reg feels ultra smooth, when I press in a small amount/pull back, it follows my foot. Whereas the new, low cost cars - it feels like its chaffing, or the pivot is too tight, so to get it to move a small distance, you have to push it much further, and then you get an unwated distance.
I want to clarify if this is the case, and why these new (but low cost) cars have jerky/sticky clutches? And then how do I know which cars have smooth clutches?
Thanks.
