What is the minimum guarantee period on a used car?

What is a dealer's minimum guarantee period for a car costing £3500?

If a dealer sells you a car for a significant amount of money, such as £3,500, he remains liable for any fault that could have been present or developing in the car for 6 months from the date of sale and if challenged has to prove that the fault was not present or developing, which he cannot do.
