My new car has been registered but not delivered yet - is it pre-reg?

I ordered a new Peugeot 3008 from a local Peugeot dealer on 6 September and was told to expect delivery mid to the end of November. I was told last week that the car was in transit from the factory and I could expect it this week. I received the V5 for the car five days ago and it has been registered on the 31 October. It is now a week since registration. Has the dealer registered it to get his October quotas in, is this a pre-registered car or am I being over sensitive?

Yes, he will have registered it to get his October volume discount or bonus, probably because sales figures for October 2017 are generally 12.2 per cent down on October last year. No big deal, though, because the car is still 2017/17, but you don't want to have to wait too much longer for it.
