I need a car for my daughter for £5000. What would you recommend?
I want to buy a second car for the family, to replace our old Volvo T5 which we use to carry kayaks, surfboards etc. to the beach. Not unsurprisingly, no one will insure my daughter, who is 17 and just passed her test, despite the car only being worth £200. I am considering either a Polo or Fiesta (fitted with a roof rack). My budget for insurance and car is up to £5000. I would appreciate your opinion and recommendation.

Old shape Fiesta Style Climate 1.25 Style Climate 5-doors on 08 plates are currently making £4700 - £5350 at auction. Mauve metallic £4700, black £5350. These are far better value, as well as better cars than an old shape Polo.
