What's causing my Volkswagen Polo's brakes to stick on?
The brakes on my 2005 Volkswagen Polo are grabbing on at the front after driving for a short distance. The callipers and pistons are fine, I've changed the master cylinder and its still not making any difference. The hoses are fine. The Volkswagen dealer thinks it is a defective ABS control unit, a mechanical issue rather than electrical. Apparently it's not a common problem. Can this be repaired? A new unit will set me back £795.

Not sure why the master cylinder was changed. As for the ABS control unit we do not know if this is repairable or not, you may want to go to www.honestjohn.co.uk/forum/threads.htm?f=4 and see if others have had similar problems
