Should I buy a Ford Mondeo or BMW 320?

I am planning to buy a two-year-old car to replace my 1996 diesel Ford Mondeo. I am looking at either a BMW 320 diesel or a Ford Mondeo Titanium diesel. It would seem that for the same price I will get a Mondeo which has done about 15,000 to 20,000 miles less than the BMW. Considering reliability, how do you see the trade-off?

The Mondeo is actually more reliable.

How much difference does low mileage make to a car's price? Is there a rule of value added per 1000 miles under average mileage and if so, what is it?
