Need a practical SUV with low monthly payments
My mum wants a new car; it needs to be practical enough to get a large dog and 4-5 adults in it and comfortable enough for long journeys. The issue is deposits and monthly payments; mum thinks she can put up to £3000 into a deposit and figures her repayments would have to be below £250 at an absolute max (she pays £236/month ATM and it its less than that then great!). What would you recommend?

£250 a month is £3000 a year, so £9000 over three years, plus her £3000 deposit. The cheapest car for 4/5 adults and a dog is a Dacia Logan MCV, which gets a refresh next month and she'll probably need the 1.5 diesel engine: www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/dacia/logan-mcv-2013/
The refresh may include the 1.2 TCe 125 petrol engine which will make more sense for short run use. Not happy with a Logan MCV, use this: www.honestjohn.co.uk/chooser/
