Tyre pressure warning light after winter tyres fitted - why?
I've just had new winter tyres fitted to my 2013 Honda CRV. I was advised that the tracking was incorrect so I had a 4 wheel laser check to correct the alignment. On the first straight road after the fitting the "check tyre pressures" warning light illuminated. I understand that this system works on the rolling diameter of the wheels and is picked up by sensors in the diffs. The tyre pressures were correct, the garage reset the warning from the drivers seat.
Is it normal that tyre changes trigger the warning system, and why should the warning system activate. It hasn't previously activated.

Yes. Happens if there is a disparity in the pressures, and there often is after all weather or winter tyres have been fitted to the existing rims. The fitter should put a sticker on the steering wheel warning you to re-check pressures and wheel nut tightness after 50 miles.
