Buying a used Jaguar XF

I'm planning to buy an approved used Jaguar XF (2013 reg).I prefer the looks and power of the V6 diesel S(275PS).Do you thing it will suffer more problems than the 240PS in the future? I will probably keep the car for 6-7 years and my every day driving to work is 17 miles. The car will be brought back to Cyprus where the weather is hot especially in the summer.

No reason why the high power motor should have more problems than the low power one. 17 miles a day to and from should keep the DPFs clear of soot but they will eventually fill with ash that can be cleaned by the Ceramex process. Yes, a hot climate is definitely better because it means no cold starts. See the entry in www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar for the full picture.
