Can I transfer winter wheels between cars?
For the last few years we have purchased winter tyres and then sold the car, which has left us with a huge loss on the cost. We now wonder whether it is possible to buy a set of both wheels and tyres that would fit a variety of makes for similar sized vehicles. Is this possible?

You can and a specialist such as www.tyremen.co.uk can advise you which wheels fit which cars but this will of course limit your choice of cars to those specific models. You'll have the widest choice of car sticking to a standard tyre size such as 195/65 R15 or 205/55 R16.
