Which SUV should I buy?

I'm looking to buy a four-wheel drive SUV to replace my 2005 Honda Accord Tourer. I will drive around 15,000 miles a year and want a diesel.

The Mazda CX-5, Honda CR-V C, Hyundai i35, Kia Sportage 2.0 CRDi, Nissan Qashqai and Skoda Yeti all fit my requirements in terms of equipment, size and price, but which would be the better financial bet long term?

The KIA comes with a seven year warranty. The Hyundai with a five year warranty. And if you add the Toyota RAV-4 to your list, that also comes with a five year warranty. The others are three years.

I can't tell you how reliable the Mazda, Honda and Nissan will be long-term, because there is nothing to go on yet. I can tell you that the 1.6DCI 130 engine fitted to the Qashqai has been around for four years in Renaults and has been very reliable. And, as with the Mazda, its design means you should not have any DPF problems.
