Will I invalidate my KIA warranty by fitting non-approved parts?

I have just had my KIA serviced by an approved garage and been told my front brake pads and discs need replacing. Can I have the brakes replaced by any garage or do they have to be carried out by a KIA garage?

To maintain the warranty KIA approved parts must be used and must show on the invoice. An independent might fit aftermarket brake discs and pads.
