Will Volkswagen contribute towards repairing my Touran's ABS fault?

How do I get Volkswagen to confirm that it will pay £1500 towards the cost of my Touran's ABS Control Unit fault?

They won't. If it's the regular ATE Teves Mk 60 brake pressure sensor failure, then the cheapest fix is by Sinspeed at £225 inc VAT, but excluding removal and refitting: www.sinspeed.co.uk.

A Volkswagen dealer may fix it using a kit and may or may not charge for this, but the cost should not be more than £400.
