How can I upgrade my TomTom Navigator to accept seven digit postcodes?
I use TomTom Navigator 7 on a Windows smartphone which came with four digit postcodes only, so I decided to see if any upgrade was available. There was nothing on the TomTom website so I tried a wider web search and found this link: www.mini2.com/forum/first-generation-interior-ice/127967-adding-full-gb-postcode-search-tomtom-satnavs.html
This provides seven digit postcode updates for several old TomTom devices including Navigator versions 6 and 7. I downloaded this update, applied it to my phone and it works.

Genius. Many thanks. But please let me know if you suffer any glitches in usage. BMW owners certainly are suffering with the seven digit upgrade to their 'Professional' satnav.
