206 CC cutting out
My car has started to cut out, been happening for the last two weeks with increasing regularity. I've only been driving it for 3-5 miles each journey, and it normally cuts out at least once on each trip (sometimes more) then restarts perfectly.
The last journey I made in it was about 6.5 miles to the Peugeot service centre through heavy traffic and took about 40 minutes. The car cut out 15 times during that 40 minutes. According to Peugeot there is nothing wrong with the car and it has not cut out at all during the time they have had it, about 3 days, even during road tests.
I don't know who to turn to next, I don't trust the car to drive as it keeps cutting out, but according to Peugeot the car is fine. It's an automatic.

Well we would suggest that the following be checked.
1. Air Intake/vacuum system for any leaks
2. All connections/wiring to the ECU (engine management system)
3. IAC (idle air control valve)
4. ISC (idle speed control actuator)
5. ECU itself
6. IFS (inertia fuel shut off switch - if fitted)
Would have thought that the garage would have checked these, it may be worth asking them what they actually checked, by item, or did they just run the engine?
