Used car warranty - what does it cover?

I recently purchased a 2006 Audi A4 Avant quattro £8500. It was 34 days ago, and as of two days ago, the DPF light has come on and won't go off. And now the glow plug lights are flashing, and the car is in limp mode.

I was told I have a 30 warranty on engine faults, but feel that the garage should be liable for this as its a only two days outside their warranty. Could you advise me on my rights before I contact them in case they are difficult?

But the dealer might contend that you have been using the car for repated short runs from cold starts and that would choke the DPF.
