DPF - should I change to petrol?
My 2.0-litre TDI 170 6sp A4 has been perfect so far whilst commuting 20 miles each way.
Now at three and a half years old and 41,000 miles my new commute will be only 3 miles each way. I would like to keep it another 18 months if possible as don't want to pay higher depreciation again.
Should I change to a petrol to avoid any DPF problems or will a periodical 20 mile fast run be sufficient to maintain it? (PS I practice hypermiling and regularly get 58/60 mpg combined).

'Hypermiling' won't help your DPF to regenerate and your short 3 mile tuns from cold will probably bung it up unless alternated with longer midweek runs.
