Alternator light stays on in my Focus
Even though alternator and battery have been changed and replaced the alternator light is showing intermittently and don't know what else this could be causing the problem.

if as you say the light is coming on intermittently then it is indicating that you have a loose connection somewhere, check your earth strap on the battery (where it connects to the chassis)
also check fuse F10 (its 10amp)
Also check the connections to your ECU
