Which family car?

I am looking for the best family car I can buy. I need it to be automatic and cost effective and safe. I've listed Peugeot 308 SW, Vauxhall Zafira, Ford Focus C-MAX.

Boot space is important too. Can you recommend a car that best suits my needs. I can pay £6000.

Don't touch a C-Max 1.6TDCI CVT. C-Max 2.0i 4-speed auto ok. Similarly, avoid Zafira 1.9 diesels. And a 308 auto might actually only be an automated clutch manual. Read all about them at www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar
