Stained seats - what are my rights?

I have a new Seat Ibiza. Rain/water from my bag/brolly have wet the seat. It has dried but left water marks on the seating.

Dealer and Seat seem to be unsympathetic. Claim this isn't a problem but I can't imagine that I am the only person whose fabric is getting water marked.

I didn't buy the treatment/protection for inside and out that claimed to maintain showroom appearance as I will not be eating or drinking or having small children in the car so anticipated risk of staining/apoiling the interior were minimal. I didn't expect rain - eg from me getting in and out of the car in wet weather, to stain the seats!

Dealer say the protective treatment wouldnt offer a long term solution anyway.

What am I entitled to ask for in terms of a resolution to this problem in the long term?

No other car I have owned, old or new, has had this problem with the interior fabric.

If it got stained from rain simply from opening the door then you have a case. If it got stained, as you very honestly pointed out, by putting wet things on the seat then the stains could have leached from whatever you put on the seat.
