Is an accident management company behind this strange whiplash claim after I touched another car?
I write to draw your and others attention to fraudulent whiplash claims. On 14 April, in a queue of walking pace traffic, I had a sneezing fit and touched the car in front of me. No damage was sustained to either car and no claim for repairs has been made against my insurance for repairs to the third party. However the other driver is now making a claim for whiplash injuries and I assume one of these parasitical accident claims companies is behind her claim. Annoyingly my insurance company does not appear willing to challenge this and intends to meet the claim. This has cost me two years' NCB and is, I feel, the tip of the iceberg.

Yes, just the top of the tip of the iceberg. That's the real reason why everyone's insurance costs so much. Not 'uninsured drivers', as was claimed. But, happily, now that Continuous Insurance has been introduced, insurers will not be able to claim that uninsured drivers are responsible for the increases in premium. They will have to come clean that it is accident management companies and credit hire operators who are responsible.
