Insure rescue
Our family runs 11 modest cars, including two 4x4s, on business and has very, very rarely claimed on insurance over the past decade. We are all over 40 years old and yet despite careful driving our annual premiums rocket. What would it take to set up our own 'family' car insurance company and can it be cheaper than the £5,300/annum we're collectively paying at the moment?

You might be able to buy a multi-car policy via www.primoplc.com or www.admiral.com or www.equityredstar.co.uk These are brokers, not insurance underwriters. Alternatively, if you buy and sell some of your fleet you might be able to avail yourself of a trade insurance policy. I get mine from www.tradesure-quote.co.uk and the premium actually went down this year.
