I never thought I would say this but "Congratulations DVLA.” My wife recently bought a new Jazz and, as is the case nowadays, all the documentation was dealt with by the dealer, so my wife was presented with the returned new registration document, which, to my horror, she filled in with her new keeper details not noticing she was already the keeper. I envisaged interminable problems trying to get it changed by the DVLA with their normal bureaucratic, pedantic attitudes to unforgivable mistakes like this. I laughed when my wife said she would ring them and put it straight, knowing the best she would get would be two or three diverts and then a recorded message, but a very helpful young woman answered immediately and said "OK, we'll replace it.” Imagine my surprise when it arrived in the post within 24 hours. I still can't believe it. Verily there are angels in the DVLA.
