Buying a Golf VI GTI
I'm looking to buy a nearly new (or new) mk6 Golf GTI and trade-in my BMW 120d SE 3 door, metallic black, leather, with 42k miles. I have got it down to a couple of options:
1. Car supermarket supplied 'new' 3 door, metallic black, imported from Malta. Built Sept 2011, so would have about 20 months of warranty. Bog-standard spec; 17" wheels, no leather etc. £21,043 (with taxes etc.) minus £9300, so £11,473 to change.
2. July 2011 ex-demo from UK dealer. Decent spec; 18" monza alloys, parking sensors, bluetooth, reversing camera, 6 k miles, tornado red. This is coming out at about the same price to change (£11.5k)
My question is, which is the better deal in terms of the deal now and resale value? I will keep the car for 2-3 years and do about 45k miles.

Probably the UK dealer car because there will always be questions about the Malteser, for example the warranty. You wont get 20 months VAG UK warranty.
