Petrol or diesel?
I am looking to upgrade from my 2003 VW Polo to something a little bit bigger. I commute 50 miles a day (round trip) but undertake short journeys during the day. Would I be better buying a Petrol or a Diesel car? I am also debating between a SEAT Leon or a VW Golf?

The commute will be enough to burn off any particulates and short runs through the day on a partially warm engine are not a problem anyway. Leons are cheaper than Golfs, of course.
