Are Jaguar shooting themselvs in the foot?

Jaguar have stopped production of all petrol and diesel cars and will not supply any new vehicles until 2026. When production starts all cars will be fully electric with a starting price of at least £100,000 pounds.
I think whoever dreamed this up lives in never never land.

This may seem like a bold or even crazy strategy from Jaguar, but the reality is that Jaguar has struggled to sell its range of combustion-powered vehicles, with the XE, XF and F-Type heading towards retirement. Electric vehicles are the future, even if the point at which they become the default choice is still up for debate. There is little point in investing large sums of money in developing new ICE cars which will become obsolete in a few years, so there is some logic in focusing on EVs, but whether this turns about to be a smart strategy for Jaguar remains to be seen.
