Can I cancel if my delivery is delayed?

i am in the same position with a BMW X5 and sold my car as they were giving me end of September delivery, it now may be XMAS should compensation not be available or deposits returned if you are unable to wait?

Delivery delays are unfortunately a common problem and is usually something dealers have very little control over. If you are considering cancelling your order or seeking compensation we would recommend checking the terms and conditions of your agreement - you may be able to cancel and have your deposit returned due to the delay, but there may also be clauses that indicate the dealer cannot be held responsible for delivery delays.
