Excess fuel consumption

I've had a VW Polo 05-reg for 2yrs. I'm lucky if I get 25mpg urban and 32mpg maximum on a decent run at 60mph. It's always been same.

Common problem with this lousy engine. The injectors squire too much fuel into the bores and the ovalise. See car by car: www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/volkswagen/polo-iv-2...d and www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/volkswagen/polo-iv-2...d

If it's running, get rid.
