Dangerous bonnet catch
My 21 year old son has a Clio Campus.
11 months ago the bonnet catch was checked in line with Renault requirements by a Renault dealer. A few weeks ago the bonnet opened whilst he was driving, destroying the windscreen and causing other damage, fortunately he was okay.
The insurer has been very sympathetic but has lost a previous debate with Renault on this topic, hence the claim will probably be classified as 'no fault' but he will loose his no claims (he currently has 3 years).
Looking at the catch we are not convinced that the work was completed (we have some pictures of the car after it was damaged) and wondered what we should do next? Pursue Renault, the garage, or simply put it down to experience?
I would welcome your thoughts and how others have got on with this particular issue.

A man called Aaron Brigatti has been campaigning against Renault for years over this and, despite getting the matter aired on BBC Watchdog, has not got very far. I don;t think there is enough evidence against Renault to successfully pursue a claim, but if you Google Aaron Brigatti you can find out more.
