Buying a replacement runabout
My wife is currently running a P plate Renault Megane 1.6 petrol.
We spent rather too much getting it through the MOT last year and it has started to run rough/misfire over the last few weeks. It is not worth spending any more on it so we need a replacement.
As we are both retiring this summer we are looking for an economical runabout which is easy to drive, has space for the weekly shopping, is reliable, and costs below £10000 (the further below the better!).
While we know we are not going to get anything with all the bells and whistles we would like something with a few mod cons. As I am 6ft 4 a bit of head/leg room is a must.

The problem with Meganes is usually the flywheel position sensor, its cable, or the connectors either end.
