If I buy a used Volkswagen from a non-VW dealership, is the warranty still valid?

If I buy an under one-year-old Volkswagen from a non-VW dealership, will I be able to take it to VW if there are any issues under the original three-year warranty?

You will need to check the terms and conditions of the Volkswagen warranty (which hopefully were supplied with the car), but one condition that is likely present is that the car was serviced in accordance with the recommended schedule at a Volkswagen dealership. It may be that your car has yet to require a service, but if it has been serviced elsewhere this may mean the warranty is no longer valid.
