Automatic fearbox?
For years I have been driving an Avensis 1.8 T3-X with an automatic gearbox and have had years of trouble free motoring. I am now thinking of buying a new Avensis 1.8 TR with a CVT automatic gearbox. Could you please advise me if these gearboxes are reliable and easy to use and whether or not they require expensive servicing or even replacing after doing a set number of miles.

Very sweet to drive and well developed in the Prius with no problems reported. Comparatively new in the Avensis, but no reason why they should not prove equally reliable.
