Alarm keeps going off

I own a Vauxhall Vectra 1.8 LS (petrol) on a 52 plate (Sep 02). This thing has become the bain of my life, with something needing fixing on a monthly basis. The alarm keeps going off when in the 1st and/or 2nd remote lock position. No alarm when locked by hand in the door lock itself. The battery is brand new and was replaced as such four weeks ago.

There is a fault with the sensor in some Vauxhalls and Opels. But first try switching the vents to recirculate, closing all closable vents, turning the heater to max heat and directing directable vents to the footwell. That minimises air disturbances inside the car and might solve the problem.

Far better than previous Vectra. Now with decent handling and an excellent ride. Plenty of safety kit. Roomy in the front. Big boot. Good looks.
