Automatic transmissions prone to failure and cost £3,650 to replace.

Four wheel drive transmission prone to failure if run on different size tyres front to back. This confuses the system which can engage 4WD and diff lock at speed on tarmac and leads to self destruction of the transmission. Costs £3,450 to replace.
