  i changed the battery and put terminals on wrong way on battery have i blown the ecu,tryed to disconnected it for 48 hrs but still nothing, i put the key and it wants to start but again still nothing. any help for me please john.

  My ex has a Renault clio that is bad at starting ,it has new plugs etc and is just as bad .She has been told the ecu is faulty and will cost an arm and a legto replace,Is this a common problem with clios or is there another reason for this bad starting. Regards Andy Bairsto

These are obviously made to fairly strict tolerances, but if they are slightly out of calibration, how does the ECU know? If the ccolant sensor reads 5C low, then the fuelling may be affected because

  Left front, side and rear indicators have stopped working. Have been told its the ecu? Are the indicators controlled by the ecu and if so does anyone know if a re wire using a flasher unit is possible as I dont want the cost of changing the ecu etc etc? Thanks in advance
