Vauxhall Vectra C - [Vectra C] [02-03] How to change/replace Airbag EC - vectra_owner

I have a Vectra C 1.8 Petrol 2002-2003. The check airbag light is ON and the problem has been diagnosed to be a faulty Airbag ECU.
The Airbag ECU needs to be replaced which is normally an expensive affair. I have managed to bag a second hand unit from ebay for £20 (same part number as suggested by mechanic). The part number is 13142540.
The part number has been confirmed by the mechanic, 13142540 Airbag ECUs were for Vectra C's 2002-2003.
Now the challenge is remove the existing Airbag ECU in my car and replace it with the one from ebay.
Is it fairly easy to do this? Or will I end up messing something up?
I managed to find a group of local Airbag ECU engineers, who will probably to this for £60. But, I can try it myself if its just a matter of removing the existing unit and replacing it. Trouble is that I don't know where the airbag ECU is fitted and how to get access to it.

If you are asking where the airbag ecu is,you should not be getting invoved with this job.Procedures need to be adopted before any work is carried out on the srs system.I doubt whether a second hand unit will work correctly as it is may be coded to the car.In some cases if the info in the srs control box does not tally to the other electronics on the car,he engine will not start.hth
