Brakes or no brakes 18 Jul 2001 (Forum)
In Saturday's Telegraph, HJ's column quotes a letter from a luckless couple who had total brake failure in their Daewoo Nexia. I understood it to be based heavily on the Vauxhall Astra, in which case it should have dual circuit brakes. If that's true, then the car should have stopped by application -
EVs and brake lights 2 Jan 2023 (Forum)
I've never driven an EV but AFAIK, they have regenerative braking and this may be adjustable so that at max, the brakes would only be called upon to bring the car to a halt or when heavy deceleration is required. Broadly correct? Followed a Tesla this morning and later, my neighbour -

Volvo V50 brake pads 22 Jul 2007 (Forum)
I took my two year old Volvo V50 into a nationwide brakes specialist on Tuesday 3rd July because my brake pads appeared worn and would probably need replacing. I was informed that all four brake pads needed replacing and the job was completed in half an hour. When I left the branch I carried onto -
Ford Fiesta (1995 - 1999) - 96 1.3 Brake pedal nearly to floor. 17 Dec 2009 (Forum)
Parked my sons Fiesta up on Friday, everything fine, nothing wrong with the car. Replace brake calipers as a pair ?? 13 Mar 2007 (Forum)
Backroomers, I have been advised my local main dealer that my OSR brake caliper has been seizing on and has now worn the brake pads down to a very low level. Not disputing this as the brake pad sensor had already triggered the warning light. The discs were on the way out anyway so I'll -

chav 3rd brake light 16 May 2006 (Forum)
51 reg silver bog standard focus in front of me today. The driver braked, and I found myself staring at a 3rd brake light that had some kind of stenciling over it such that the red light now spelled "Focus". It was hard to make out, thus rendering the 3rd brake light somewhat useless in terms
