  hard and i can't make it bang against anything. Also i have bounced on the towbar and rocked the car and i can't make the noise happen but when i drive it the banging starts by just driving down the road, i don't even have to drive over a bump for it to bang. Anyone got any ideas as it's driving me mad?

  noticeable at low speeds it is almost a grinding sound, it is not the brakes. My mechanic has heared but sods law meant that it wasn't evident then!. He suggested it could be to with the gearbox but it dosn't really seem to be any specific gear and its only low speed. I am thinking drive shaft or gearbox
