  I wish HJ would stop banging on about left-foot braking, amongst other things. By his logic, manual car drivers must be lethal yet we never hear of such a case. It is just a case of old people driving automatics who should not be driving.

  If there is an obstruction on a steep hill, the convention is that the vehicle coming uphill has priority, irrespective of which side of the road the obstruction is on. Does the same rule apply to trucks? Which is the bigger problem for HGVs-brake fade or clutch wear?

  any one help? i have a 93 rover 214 8 valve and have just put a new clutch in it. but the pedal still seems to be higher than the brake pedal. is there any adjustment anywhere for this?
