ford mondeo mk2 1800 - mondeo idle/emissions & brake pedal travel problem 22 Mar 2011 (Forum)
this is as the temp gauge doesn't work!) but after driving for about 5 mins, the idle speed goes back up to 1200-1500. i've rea that this could be the cat or lambda sensor, or maf, or ecu temp sender or anything really, but don't want to be changing everything just to see - what could be the most likely -

Ford Focus 1.4 '04 - Ford Focus 04 Dashboard Problems 12 Dec 2010 (Forum)
of the driver footwell, not sure if this is where the ecu is located. **The main lights work fine and so does the stereo I'm planning on getting some electrical contact spray and removing/cleaning the earth straps on the body around the engine before I consider taking it to a garage -
Seat Alhambra 1.9Tdi 115bhp-Limp Mode 26 Sep 2010 (Forum)
the turbo itself, the Mass air meter (which has recently been changed) the coolant temperature sensor & the ECU. However, a common trait with this seems to be a split, loose or collapsed rubber pipe related to the turbo/valve. l would be gratfull for any info' on exactly which pipe may be at fault, or any -

KIA Rio (2005 - ) - 1.5 CRDi Fuel consumption 18 Mar 2010 (Forum)
of my kin in their Kia's, Clio's etc. Any thoughts. Can the fuel economy be reduced by 25% just because it isn't bedded in? How long has your Kia taken to "bed in". Anyone actually gone back to a Kia dealer and they found a problem with the fuel system or ECU or sensors etc. Cheers Stevie G -

Ford Mondeo III (2000 - 2007) - 05 2.0 a/c fan not working 26 Jun 2009 (Forum)
is parts people say they don't have a fan switch, Mk3 ECU does all that??? I've had it regassed, and its ice cold on the go, so it's not that. I've changed the low pressure switch, not that. On advice that it's been a cause of identical problems, I've tried a new 60amp fuse, but it made no difference. I -
Volkswagen Golf IV (1998 - 2004) - 2000 1.6 EPC / Exhaust System Light - At wits end 11 Sep 2008 (Forum)
independent, but a couple of months ago the lights came on as I was passing the authorised dealer - so I took it in there and the ecu fault indicated the throttle position sensor to blame. An air intake hose was replaced and the accelerator pedal fault was noted as "sporadic and may return". The sensor light -

Ford Focus II (2004 - 2007) - 2004 1.6 - engine weak! 7 May 2008 (Forum)
the rest? No misfiring (ie ignition) problems. Could the ECU anti-knock feature come into play and cause the ignition to retard when it shouldn't? I have been trying to record this sound to make it plain. -
Mercedes Benz E-Class W124 (1985 - 2000) - 1994 E320 Coupe - Cruise Control problem 2 Apr 2008 (Forum)
forums which basically seem to go in the direction of swapping out various expensive ECUs to see if the problem goes away. I'm guessing if I take the car to a MB dealer they will probably adopt the same strategy. {yes, you guessed it, another edit to put the year in the subject line. That reminds me -
Rover 200 and 400 (1989 - 1996) - 216 (honda) won't start 12 Sep 2007 (Forum)
it I can feel no click. Ruling out the inertia switch - would stalling the car have any effect on any ignition components like the igniter unit or the ecu. When I turn on the ignition I can also hear a hissing sound that comes from the region of the fuel injection components. This lasts for a bout
