Model History

Very usefully bridges the gap between an MPV and a minibus, coming in lengths of 4,805mm and 5,135mm x 1,895mm wide mirrors folded)x 1,984mm high and offering between 5 and 9 seats.
Two engines for UK initially: 90bhp 1.6 HDI diesel with 5-speed box and 135lnb ft torque, or 120bhp 2.0HDI with 6-speed box and 225lb ft torque. 6th in 2.0HDI offers 30mph per 1,000rpm and seems to have more torque at low revs than other PSA 2.0 HDIs.
All have ABS + EBDF, drivers airbag, passenger and side airbags (Leisure spec), deadlocks, remote central locking, rear door child locks, height and reach adjustable steering wheel, electric front windows, heater rear window with wiper, radio/CD player, air-conditioning and rear heater (Leisure spec). All insurance Group 7E. Fuel consumption 7.2 – 7.4 l/100km (38-39mpg) combined. 1.6HDI 0-60 21 seconds, top speed 145kmh (90mph). 2.0HDI 0-60 15.5 seconds, top speed 160kmh (100mph). Ideal for large, multi activity families, hotels, private hire, airport taxis and possible conversion to Hackney Carriage for use outside London. Drives and handles very well indeed for a vehicle of this size.

Launched in the UK in February 2007. New technology such as pneumatic rear suspension. New Expert Combi range. Sliding side doors on both sides. Pneumatic rear suspension makes it possible to lower the overall height of the van to 1.894 m, enabling it to enter underground car parks. Also improves loading and gives the vehicle a constant ride height whatever the load. A manual control can be used to adjust the load height when stationary. In other markets: 2.0 litre HDi 136 bhp DPFS (Diesel Particulate Filter System); one Peugeot petrol engine: 2.0 litre 16V 140 bhp. Also available rear parking assistance, speed limiter/cruise control and GPS navigation.

- a modern appearance, introducing a new front face
- high-performance and efficient Euro 5 engines
- best-in-class low CO 2 emissions for the Expert Tepee – 172g/km
- the 2.0l HDi Expert Van delivers the best power/CO 2 emissions ratio -168g/km
- technological equipment not previously seen before in the segment
- a 6-speed automatic gearbox now available on the 2.0-litre HDi 163bhp engine.

What to watch out for
End of plastic dipstick of 1.6 HDI engine can break and drop into sump requiring removal of sump to retrieve it.
Vent well drains can block leaving rainwater nowhere to go except into the vehicle where it penetrates the ECU under the driver's seat.
