Amazing all rounder that does everything well!

When I bought this I had not even tried one. We did have, and still have, a S60 saloon and this was impressive.

Based on that I decided on the XC90 for it's admirable abilities, easy to drive, parking sensors front and rear, renowned Volvo safety, seven comfortable seats and the relative good economy of the Diesel engine. I previously had a Mercedes M270, a magnificent car that returned 27mpg, the XC90 gives an average of 34mpg. That is very good given it's size and ability.

By the way, they are excellent off road! Some say this is not the case but I think Swedish folk know a thing or two about off road and slippery surface driving!

It drives like a "normal" car. Little body roll (unless you're a maniac) and the very comfortable seats have seat heating... lovely!

The build quality is really second to none. It has a 5 star NCAP rating with a comment from NCAP that it's possibly the safest, strongest car body available anywhere... Of course that's something I never want to prove, but I'll take their word for it!

Our car has a full Volvo service history and now has 115k miles, quite low for these as folk with them do tend to use them, and why not?

So far it has been utterly reliable.

Spectacularly impressed! Thank you Volvo... and no, I do not work for them!
