Volvo V50 20d R Design Powershift

One of the best cars that I have had for comfort and driving pleasure

I have covered 26K and my V50 still drives brilliantly with sharp accurate steering. The 17 inch wheels give a firm ride but never uncomfortable. It's not the biggest estate but the well shaped boot is adequate. The Ford 136 bhp diesel is a peach especially when coupled to the powershift auto. There is no need to use the manual override as the auto always seems to be in the right gear. In everyday driving I manage 43 - 44mpg but it nudges 50mpg on a long run. The leather faced seats are firm but comfortable and the interior is well built. My only complaint has been the Volvo's appetite for front brake discs, juddering has resulted in my supplying dealer to provide two sets of replacements under warranty. Dealer support has been very good and I hope to get another Volvo in 2013.
