Wow what a motor

No it does not quite handle in the same way as my old 3 series and to some the Volvo moniker carries as much Kudos as Stannah, however this car is rather phenomenal due in the most part by this incredible new engine. It's as quiet as a door mouse and goes like a bat out of hell. It is quite uncanny how quickly this thing picks up in 3rd from 30mph to over the legal limit and at no point gives away what fuel it keeps in the tank. It can hold just about legal cruising speeds at under 2000 rpm with no NVH whatsoever while you are being carried along atop the most comfortable seat I have ever had the pleasure of sitting in, whether it be in a car or not.
The style of the R Design model is nicely understated but manages to have some presence at the same time. Yes the dash has quite a lot of buttons but an hour with the handbook soon sorts that out however the lay out of the dash is stylish and efficient . Economy is improving and is close to 50mpg without holding back too much and will crack 60 if you find yourself transporting nuns about.
But really it's mostly about the engine, and the fact that I no longer have to buy an Audi or a BMW to get a proper motorcar.
