Fun, luxurious, good to drive

Have owned this car for just over 2 years now and still love it. The cabin has a real premium feel to it and the high gearing makes the car a marvellous motorway mile-eater. The taut suspension and chassis (Focus based) means it's fun on sweeping A roads and B roads too. I like the meaty steering which provides plenty of feel and does not feel remote like so many modern systems

Overall ecomomy, which I check brim to brim with every tankful has averaged 49.1 MPG, which is slightly more than the government combined figure.

On the downside, rear legroom is below par, as is boot space and boot access. For me this is not important and I much prefer a saloon to a hatchback.

The local Volvo dealer is very good, but like most other premium brands, Labour prices are getting silly for a 5 year old car.
