Please take it back! Or Don't listen to your ex husband!

I'd had a yaris hybrid from new since 2013. It reached just under 40,000 miles in the 10 years I had it. Thinking that it would depreciate even more and to replace it would be increasingly expensive, I decided to trade it in for the 2020 equivalent. I'd had the tracking done 3 times in six months. Knowing nothing about cars I assumed the writing was on the wall. What a mistake. With hindsight, I should have fixed anything causing the tracking problem and had it resprayed. I'm now informed these cars go on for many thousands of miles. This leads me to wonder whether the same can be said about my present vehicle.

It might look nice, but this is an infinitely inferior model in my view. It has much less boot space. Both my friend and I found it difficult to get in and out when we decided to get in the back. The doors don't seem to open very wide, and legroom is extremely limited. When you turn the interior light on, you still can't see anything in the back. It's not very helpful if you're trying to free the dog's harness from the restraining belt. In an emergency one night I just had to sit her in the seat untethered because I couldn't see to plug the seat belt in.

This model has no satnav. I was assured this would not be a problem as I could use my phone. However, the screen does not permit viewing from an external device, so no point plugging it in. It has no parking sensors. It does have a reversing camera, but I like to have belt and braces when reversing out of a space in the supermarket car park for instance. All those shoppers impervious to moving cars! So, no backing bleepers to alert them or me. I have yet to work out how to turn on the hybrid system, so my petrol consumption is very poor compared to what it should be. Salesman told me. 70 mpg. I'm getting about 50. And I've only just been made aware of an outstanding recall, which I think was supposed to have been done when it was serviced. This fact was brought to my attention by a dealer when I enquired about trading it as part exchange. Having tried it for two weeks, having paid £21000 for it, the garage didn't want to take it back and said they would only offer me what webuyanycar would say. I wasn't going to take a 6 grand hit in a fortnight, so I've been stuck with it for a year. Well it's got to go now. I'm getting a second dog and can't have the same difficulty. Don't know what to get instead. I can't afford to keep losing such a lot of money so quickly.

On the plus side, it is a nice colour.
