Toyota RAV4 (2006 - 2013)
2.0 Valvematic Multidrive S XTR
Comfortable, practical and a relaxed drive
By luck found this car the day it was bought in by my local Toyota dealer. Six years old and only 8500 miles, just the thing to replace my 2005 RAV4 XTR Auto.
The 2005 model was bought as a third car for the dog and supermarket trips, our other cars being a Mini and a GT86. Ever since we got it I drove it in preference to the GT86, 10000 miles in a year on the Rav and 4500 in the GT86. I loved the auto experience.
The 2010 RAV is even better, improved mpg (around 30mpg urban) and the CVT gearbox is an absolute gem. There is also a sport button, but that increases the throttle sensitivity and ups the revs a tad too much for town driving, but useful for extra pick up when entering a roundabout.
Trim is leather and alcantara with front and rear parking sensors, dusk sensing headlights and rain sensing wipers.
All in all a very useful car, without the worries of new car ownership, the GT86 has gone too, now only two cars to clean.
