not bulletproof

Bought this car from a car supermarket 2 weeks ago (06 reg/63000 miles) with 5 main dealer service stamps (last one 300 miles ago). 11 months MOT and one previous company owner.
Thought this would be a 'bulletproof' buy.
Anyway, beware the P2002 'Particulate Trap Efficiency Below Threshold Bank 1' engine management light error code which had been extinguished just prior to me buying the car without repair and came on shortly after purchase (Toyota main dealer £2743 to fix as catalytic convertor requires replacement). Whilst roadtesting after the initial repair, Toyota also found the car had a blown head gasket , and after investigation, required a new cylinder head and short block. Thought this would be a sound buy, I'm hoping it will in the long run.
The bill is being covered between Toyota (very good customer service) and the non-Toyota dealer I purchased from initially. Now that I've actually had a chance to drive the car, it is easy to drive, comfortable, and hopefully reliable!
