Reliable Reliable Reliable
I have done 40000 in 15 months in my petrol 1.8 Avensis estate. I have had no problems the ride is quiet and it is a great motorway cruiser. If you are looking to buy one look for the integrated sat nav.I visit up to 5 addresses a day all over the country and it's never let me down. Mpg is around 38mpg in real terms. I bought a petrol because of previous nightmares with modern Diesel engines I have no regrets. People will gripe about the electronic handbrake whilst I don't see the point of it it is easy to get used to.
