SEAT Ibiza (2017 on)
1.0 TSI
A great car that is bigger than the class norm
Cracking little engine which has a nice thrum to it. I’ve had little to complain about so far, it’s done over 3500 miles. Checked in for a recall soon for the middle seatbelt which will get sorted under warranty. Also the air con has started to smell so that’s unusual for a new car, again will be sorted under warranty.
Almost achieved 60 mpg on a long drive over to Manchester from Newcastle a few months ago. Practical and relatively spacious although the true test will be when our 2nd child is born - the pram and accessories take up the whole boot, may need to invest in a roof rail box!
The SE doesnt have all the mod cons but it links to Bluetooth well and I can stream Spotify - it’s a shame DAB is still an option on cars and not standard. Overall very impressed with the build quality - no squeeze or rattles and very comfortable. I think the steering is fine but could be a bit more communicative. Despite the iffy plastic dash which feels like it might’ve warped in this summer UK weather, I would recommend this car. It’s also quite a looker, I prefer it to the Leon. Would consider an Arona or Ateca next. I like Seat as a brand overall.
